About this event
Submit a nomination for the Floodplain Advocate of the Year Award.
The Iowa Floodplain and Stormwater Management Association sponsors an annual award to recognize outstanding contributions to improving floodplain management from the local through state level. To be considered, a nominee should:
· Primarily work in the field of floodplain management, such as local floodplain administrator, CRS coordinator, etc.
· Be responsible for or assisted in the development of a successful floodplain and/or CRS program to reduce flood hazard risks.
· Demonstrate dedication through administration of their community's floodplain management program.
· Achieve success in aspects of floodplain management such as policy, education, legislation, public information, and implementation.
· Promote sustainable water management and resource protection.

· Nominee name and organization
· In 300 words or less, provide a summary of why you're nominating this person as Floodplain Advocate of the Year, highlighting the unique efforts of this individual.
